A Class Of Its Own

The Vauxhall Signum was only produced for 5 years, from 2003 to 2008. It was a large hatchback, too big to be classed as a family car, but too small to be classed as an executive car. The intention was for it to capture a whole new segment of the market, but in 2008 both the Signum and Vectra were replaced with models from the new Insignia range.

A Different Approach

As well as its unusual dimensions, the Signum featured many small touched to make it stand out from the crowd. Rather than a rear bench seat, it had two separate seats in the back, both of which were as adjustable as the driver and passenger seats. It also saw the introduction of Vauxhall Flexspace, the individual seat folding system.
