Fantastic experience from initial phone call to completion of work. The sunroof on my mini hasn't opened for 3 years. Minitech isolated the rear panel and installed a new motor before refurbishing the unit. When the car was returned to me by Joe, he wouldn't let me leave until I was happy with what he'd done and given me a few maintenance tips to keep the unit clean and working. The work.is of the highest standard and very reasonably priced. My 4 hour drive home to Essex was a blast with the roof open, blaring music, it has transformed my mini and is one of the things i liked most about the car when i first bought it.!!. The work took 2 and a half hours to do, which left just enough time to walk into Bury and have a look round a very friendly town and grab something to eat.. Would highly recommend Minitech Spares and thanks Joe , great job!.

Rang and spoken to Dean over a petrol pump... He said yeah not a problem there's one here same year and tested.. Easy but fiddly job to do £40.. I said no worries see you about 3ish.. My wife's Mini Countryman developed the dreaded whining from the transfer box at about 65K miles several months ago, so I removed the 40A ABS fuse to get some relief, however it started to get worse recently so I decided to take action. Mintech did not have a refurb box available but I managed to source a surplus worn out box locally for Mintech to send to their specialist gearbox facility in Hull. It came back a week later looking absolutely like new complete with a new output shaft nut etc. They also offered to fit the box at a very reasonable price, which I accepted (having always done my own maintenance on all our cars for the last 40 years!). It was completed the next day and delivered back to my home address (I live near Chester) ready for a test drive. Note they also replaced the NS tyre, which was badly worn, the NS wheel bearing, which was noisy too and flushed the main gearbox oil all at a sensible price. The car now sounds like new again and wifey is very pleased! I would definitely recommend Mintech Spares in Bury, Manchester. They are a BMW Mini specialist and dismantler, but this is no typical 'breakers yard', it's a new purpose built facility that's very clean, well organised and professionally run. They also seem to be the only UK company that can successfully refurbish the Mini 4x4 transfer box.

When we came to Mintec we were desperately trying to find a replacement engine for our mini clubman that had been butchered by a bunch of absolute cowboys. Mintec not only sorted us out with a reconditioned engine, they fitted it and made sure everything was better than it was before! We were so nervous about being let down and ripped off again but Mintec walked us through the whole process and completely put our mind at ease. If we ever have a single issue with the mini ever again Mintec will be the first place we go!

They listen - found a reconditioned engine, sorted out delivery and within 2 days the engine has arrived and is going in - and that’s in Scotland! Spent around £2400 with these guys numbering to around 17 individual high and lower value parts. The pricing is comparatively high with this firm compared to competitors. Long story short - one of the lower value parts was supplied incorrectly and didn't fit my car - when I called to ask for a exchange or refund the woman on the phone was rude and borderline aggressive and very unhelpful - it was all smiles chit chat when I was handing over cash - soon as you've left that's the end any customer service or recourse for faults or problems. My advise, avoid at all cost - there are plenty of other breakers that will welcome return business and treat you as a valued customer.

I have used Mintech Spares for many years now, must be over 10 years I've bought and sold loads of Mini's over the years I've lost track of how many parts I have got from them, back to old R52s n R53s it doesn't matter if its just a bit of plastic trim or a reconditioned engine the service remains the same...first class. Some staff come and go over the years, recon there must be a dozen there some familiar faces...even if its not on the shelf and still on a breaker they are always prepared to find that part you really need, you know the one you really really need... like yesterday! Price wise I'd say they are fair...not the cheapest and defo not the dearest...main thing is they have the parts and that's what matters when you need to get your Mini sorted ; ) TBH I've never come across another Mini Breakers with so much stock...must be difficult these days to have pretty much every part available with so many models and versions about now.

I bought auto gearbox from this spare shop when I buy gearbox I ask for coding and warranty said I don’t need coding and every person give different price when I said I have price said no when he when to talk to boss said yes my price was right so now gearbox is faulty I have recipe on recipe said 90 days warranty I call them first time not even answer question second time I give invoice number person on the phone even he don’t know how to talk try to push me my fault I bought gearbox even not 10 days as soon Mecanic change gearbox said not moving I do the service on gearbox still not move it’s danger part shop I’m gone do legal action on this part shop when I pay talk nicely now I pay even don’t talk right stay way robin people money

Mintech spares couldn't have been more helpful with my second hand engine delivery I was a little scared of sending a payment through and then not knowing when or what condition it would be but it came when they said it would and in 1st class condition thanks guys
