Mixed opinion of this place. They responded to a quote request via Breakerlink for a replacement door for my Suzuki Alto, and were able to provide the part that I was looking for in the matching colour. Chap was nice enough on the phone and seemed knowledgeable. He did get a little agitated when I asked for photos, but did provide them. When they prepared the item for dispatch, the chap I had being dealing with (never got his name) phoned back, saying they noticed some scratches that were only visible at certain angles. He said they were going to refund £30 to compensate as they had sold me the door on the basis it was damage free and a straightforward swap over. Nice of him to phone and let me know, however the £30 has yet to arrive back in my bank account. (Update: They got in touch regarding the refund, which I have now received. Overall rating adjusted from 3 to 4 stars.) The door arrived as expected, and was very well packaged for transit. I did, however, have to ask on two separate occasions for at first a rough day for when it would arrive, and then after dispatch for the tracking number. On the whole, OK service but could do with an improvement. Definitely not as bad as some previous reviews have stated.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! Appalling. They sent the wrong part, I paid by credit card luckily but they agreed to ‘do me a favour’ by sending the correct one so I waited, no evidence this will ever appear so more lost days had I known they were utter liars and thieves. They have cost me a fortune and caused a medical doctor to miss work in the current NHS crisis. I have no means to transport my infant and unbeknownst to them I recorded all telephone conversations (extremely rude and incapable of conversing respectfully) as I am not a novice to the courts. On top of reporting to ombudsman and trading standards I will be enforcing a financial claim due to financial losses and distress. I suggest the manager responds and attempts to resolve this as I am 4/4 for successfully suing rogue businesses and institutions. I will also be very public about them endangering people by causing a doctor to be unable to work.

Part arrived broken, (lug missing off a light assembly). I called to find out that they'd sent it broken. Customer services was extremely rude and unhelpful not offering any real solution they said that they "would charge me to return it as it was fine to them". Would stay away from this company.

Conman, don’t buy from him. If google would allow zero or minus stars I would have used them! Sent parts for my vehicle that were delayed, broken snd unusable. That stopped me taking my family on holiday! No conscious what so ever! Then made lots of false promises and then blocked my number. Check out the google reviews and avoid! Checkout his facebook page as he’s now stopped advertising as his reviews are so bad! Have all the communications and evidence if required! Please avoid and go elsewhere for your own sake!

This is a dubious garage I have ever met. The mechanics are dubious with Non-charlatan attitude. My experience with this garage is more than worst. He held my £92 till now. The car part sold to me has defect and after I returned the car part he refused to refund my money till now and the case has to be reported to the Ombudsman for intervention. Please desist from this garage. In my entire world I have never met someone like this before. To me all the 5 * reviews people are giving are nothing but lies upon lies. It is for your good to run away from this wolve mechanic. Happy New Year!

Ordered a seat belt receiver for a 25mm buckle via breakerlink as it's seems an obscure size and a hard part to find. Overall happy with the result, and a very reasonable price from Derby Auto Salvage. Relatively easy and convenient, however I've taken a star off as it took 5 days to arrive instead of the quoted 2-4, which meant I had to reschedule my MOT, leading to my car tax lapsing, which then cost me a couple of days of work as I'm a self employed decorator. However, none of this would've happened if the original part that I'd ordered from ebay, which was guaranteed to fit, actually did, so I'd take a few delays for a proper part over a fast but wrong ebay delivery anyday. If I'm ever in need again, I'll be using both breakerlink and Derby Auto Salvage again.

Im appalled by the communication of this company, ordered a part they said was in then refunded three weeks later a work collegue had the same problem with an engine they say yes its in stock so again paid for it only to be refund weeks later again. just to add i sent photos of products needed and the response was we have this! its just a case of poor service /dishonesty. if your not sure or hoping a product comes in that suits its not on as its my money your holding on too. i hope things can improve as an owner id want to be aware about poor staffing in my buisness, hope this sheds some light

I ordered 2 wing mirrors but only needed 1. Sent back the spare. They kept telling me the would return my calls but never did. They wouldn't tell me what the returns policy would which means i have a year cooling off period not the standard 14 days. They then denied the item had been delivered to their unit despite me contacting dpd and showing them the picture of fhe delivery. Still trying to get my money back. AVOID!!!

On the positive side the goods arrived on time and we were well wrapped. On the negative side the rear Suzuki bumper was damaged in four places and the person who removed it from the vehicle being broken for parts must have literally torn it off the chassis as the clips holding it to the chassis tore right through the bumper making it impossible to insert new clips on the chassis of my car. I am extremely angry as I asked twice if there was any damage to the bumper and was told "no". The tele sales people also need to be trained how to speak to people as they mumble single words in a reply to a question and sound bored and disinterested.

Broke a couple of month in derby needed a gearbox change. Went breaker link to order a gearbox. Came across derby autos and gave them a call. The chap on the phone was brilliant and told me about everything I needed to know. Got the gearbox taken off on the same day which was brilliant and saved me a lot of time just had to pick it up. Fantastic service and car runs smooth. The chap even told me great garages near by to get the gearbox fitted. Would defiantly recommend to anyone looking for Japanese parts

Ordered a front bumper for Honda jazz.was wrapped so tight it was twisted and a clip broken called and spoke to them, even sent pictures and they said hot water would straighten it. Unfortunately won’t fix a broken clip. Just nake sure you have something from them in writing to say they will take it back if it’s not to standard else you will be out of pocket like me.

This fella is an absolute joke, said he had 2 micra doors, gave me a quote then wouldn't answer the phone, then told me he was on his way to work and he would ring back. Needless to say he didnt and when I got through to him he said he never had them and just hung up. Bloody good job I never ordered them on line. What a con man and rude aswell. Stay awsy

My daughter ordered a bumper which took several weeks and several phone calls before it arrived. Took to paint shop to be sprayed and upon opening realised we had wasted our money -the bumper was cracked badly in 4 places , had to send in photos and once again several phone calls but to no avail they blamed the delivery company!! . Do not waste your money with this company .

Scammers!! I've purchased speakers from them 2 weeks ago using BreakerLink. I called to ask about my delivery they simply told me they didn't know that I purchased the item and start taking my quote again which was shocking. I paid the money to them 2 weeks ago £46. The way they spoke to me over the phone was awful very rude. They don't know the ABCD of customer service, mannerless, uneducated. Now I've to contact PayPal they told me they going to refund me. These people wasted my time. I don't they are genuinely there to sell car parts. They are there to do other activities using the name Derby Auto Salvage. Otherwise, no one will treat customers this way. I will contact the police to check their activities as well BreakerLink to remove them from their website. These people are scammers!

Take precautions if buying things from Derby Auto Salvage Ltd. Early-mid November, I ordered a spare door handle from Derby Auto Salvage. It arrived the next day which was very impressive. Unfortunately it was downhill from there. I opened the package to discover the handle was completely the wrong colour for my car and would have made it look like something from the Inbetweeners. I sent an email to which there was no reply for 4 days so I sent a text before opening up a PayPal case. Low and behold I had a reply. Lesson 1 here is, do this through PayPal, as there resolution centre is easy to use and should protect you from sellers who don't follow the law. The seller then replied saying I can send it back and get a replacement but I must send it back within 7 days. This is incorrect as products purchased online have a minimum 14 days upon notification of a problem to be returned under consumer rights law. So watch out for this trick being pulled. Lesson 2: make sure the package is tracked and signed for. I sent the product back to Derby Auto Salvage and it was singed and received on the 19th November. On the 24th I sent a message asking when the replacement was being sent but I had no reply. In early December, I had a repsonse saying the seller would happily provide a refund once he had received the parcel. I quickly provided the tracking number and proof of postage showing it delivered over two weeks ago. On 15th December PayPal had informed me that they had sided with my case and refunded me my money. So please be careful when buying off this seller. - use PayPal (easy to resolve issues like this) - use and track and signature for any returned items as the seller will lie about recieving the item (keep the postage receipt)

Absolutely disgusted with this company! Avoid at all costs! Bought a part from them and explained I was recently widowed and not used to dealing with car repairs. The part arrived and was wrong. I rang them and they said to return it for a refund. I packaged it securely and returned on 17th December, also got a proof of postage. No word from them so I rang a week ago and they said they would check and ring me back. They didn't so I rang again and was told they would put a refund in my bank. The part cost £50 which is a lot of money when living on pension! One week later no word from them and no refund. I am absolutely disgusted and wish I'd read reviews of the company before ordering. How they are still in business beats me! AVOID!

I wish I'd read reviews before buying anything from them ... I bought a door panel via breakerlink it arrived quickly but damaged it had clearly already been in a crash and was massively dented I messaged them and was told "it would push out" not something i am capable of doing i said it wasn't good enough when I'd paid over 70 quid for the part and delivery etc they said they would message me and sort it out a few days later .... this was now over 3 weeks ago and still I am waiting I will be taking further action .... there's no customer service skills at all staff at rude and blunt disgusting way to run a business

The most awful service I have experienced. They responded to my advert saying they had the parts I was looking for. I paid the asking price and expected my parts in 2 days as agreed. Now its 6 days later. No parts have been delivered and they do not answer or return my calls. Quite awful service. I am totally disgusted by their lies and lack of courtesy.
