Fully functioning headlights are a must for all vehicle owners. It is essential when travelling in poor driving conditions such as the dark, rain or snow to see the road ahead and any potential hazards which could put your safety at risk. Headlights also ensure you are seen to other drivers and is a legal safety requirement which is part of your annual MOT check. If stopped by the police, you risk a telling off or worse – prosecution.
Headlights are attacked on a daily basis by water, dirt and salt so it is no surpise when one day they stop working. In many instances, the headlight unit does not need to be replaced as the problem lies elsewhere such as a blown headlight bulb or fuse, headlight relay failure or switch. Unfortunately if you have checked all these and your headlight’s still do not function, or your headlights have been smashed then it is most likely your headlight will need replacing.
