A Single Generation
The Nissan Terrano only ever appeared in one incarnation. Nissan did perform several facelifts and minor updates to keep the styling in line with the rest of their model range, but no major revisions were made. The Terrano ceased in 2006, with the X-Trail, Pathfinder and Qashqai more than serving the needs of its market.
A Car By Any Other name
The Nissan Terrano was also supplied to Ford Europe under an OEM agreement. Ford rebadged the model as the Maverick and continued selling it until 1999 when it was slowly phased out. The most popular engine choice for Terrano owners was a 3.0 Diesel engine that provided good fuel efficiency and power.
