A New Countryman

The new Mini Countryman has been available since 2011. It has a longer wheelbase and more interior room than its standard sibling, making it the first crossover between a supermini and an SUV. It also has the added option of an all wheel drive system, called ALL4, that gives it some basic off-road capabilities.

A Marmite Car

Although the Mini has enjoyed much popularity, the different variants seem to inspire love or hatred. When the Countryman was first announced there was a mixture of praise and disgust from the motoring press. Some loved the looks and the heritage, whilst others thought BMW were just cashing in on the Countryman name and had gone a step too far.
