The Not So Mini

The Mini Clubman is the estate version of the Mini, and has been produced in its newest guise since 2008. The added length of the Mini Clubman provides more space and legroom for passengers, as well as having an increased load space. The use of the Clubman name for the estate is a departure from tradition for the new range, but BMW initially did not have the rights to use all the variants names, so improvised a little.

Available In Different Flavours

The Mini Clubman is available in different variations, either as a Cooper, Cooper S, One, or Cooper D. This is largely because the front half of the car is identical to the standard model, and it is only the extra 9.4 inches on the rear end that adds the extra space. The only other defining characteristic is how the boot is accessed, instead of the instantly recognisable Mini pull up hatch design, the Clubman has two outwardly opening doors, often referred to as barn doors.
