By Any Other Name

The Mercedes Benz Vito was also known as the V Class and the Viano at different times. The Viano is essentially the minibus version of the popular Vito, replacing the panel van rear with seats and windows. It was also produced as an upmarket camper van, which featured a gas stove, fridge, 40L sink, and plenty of storage space.

Vito Variants

Over its lifetime the Vito’s versatility has led to many different variants. There has been a fully approved Black Cab Vito, an E-Cell vehicle, which became the first mass produced electric vehicle in Spain. Whilst initially going on sale with a choice of either a petrol or diesel engine, both of which are a far cry from the Sprinter derived diesels used in the modern model.
