You may not realise it but when the rain hits your windscreen, there is a wiper motor working it’s socks off in the firewall powering the windscreen wipers to push it all away. Wiper motors are hard working components designed to last up to 1.5 million wipes keeping your windscreen clear of rain, snow and dirt for years and years.
If your windscreen wipers cease to function then the problem often lies elsewhere. Maybe a blown fuse, faulty relay or worn wiper linkage could be the cause of the problem.
Eventually like all electrical components, the wiper motor will wear out and need replacing. If you have checked all these potential factors and your wiper motor still does not function then it is most likely your wiper motor will need replacing.
