The inlet manifold is the lungs of a vehicle. Like humans, a car needs to breathe so it is the role of the inlet manifold to distribute the air evenly into the engine cylinders.
Sometimes, the inlet manifold develops a leak. When this happens, you may experience sluggish performance when accelerating, show signs of leaking oil from under the vehicle or excessive noise when the vehicle is idle. The faulty inlet manifold is effectively making the engine work harder to turn the crankshaft so it needs replacing as it is harmful disrupting the vehicle engines performance.
If your inlet manifold has reached the end of it’s life cycle, it can be easily replaced at low cost but it is advisable to use a qualified mechanic.
