A Shaky Start

When the Vectra was first introduced many motoring journalists liked the bold front-end styling, but unfortunately couldn’t find many other redeeming features. The reputation was worsened when Jeremy Clarkson pointed out the windscreen was prone to popping out if the Vectra was jacked up, this was due to chassis twist.

A Stronger Finish

Thankfully Vauxhall addressed many of the issues with the early model, and future Vectra’s were greatly improved. However, the bulk of the damage was done and the Vectra’s days were numbered, and it was eventually replaced by the Vauxhall Insignia.
