do not but from here, have scammed us out of £850.00 for an engine, we paid for a 45,000 miles engine the one that arrived had 190,000 miles on it, they agreed to supply another (that took 3 weeks to arrive) and lied about mileage again, now refusing to refund the money dispite having both engine returned to them !!!!!! iv had to make a charge back on my credit card to try get my money back

I purchased a refurbished engine for my car in 2020, to date it is still in working order and I have had no issues with it, it arrived in good condition. I was hesitant to use this business as there is little information about them and I also didn’t receive a full breakdown of the engine specs but apart from this good experience. Bought an engine from this company. My old engine had been stolen so I couldn’t give them it for the surcharge and I explained this to them. Got told that it would just void my warranty and that there would be no further action. Now have been sent a “ final email warning threatening county court” to collect the surcharge… bearing in mind this is the first email I have received since purchasing the engine. To top it off, engine doesn’t even work that they provided!

SCAM SCAM SCAM.....bought an engine, 4 weeks later no engine has arrived. Excuses given....engine was still in the car which meant delays, engine is leaking oil at depot so cant be delivered, engine has been dropped so is being returned to them, have found a replacement which is more money.........I do not believe this " company " had an engine in the first place and are taking orders to then try and source an engine after all the while keeping the full balance in their account until you force them to refund you. Having seen the other reviews on here.....clearly this is a pattern that others have experienced also.

I know you might think it's worth 'taking the risk' and that 'they can't be all that bad', but please do not waste your time. Because I'd seen other reviewers wait sometimes 4 MONTHS to get their order refunded, I wasn't going to let that happen, so waited 'only' a month before I gave up. I called once or twice a week for updates, and was always reassured and their customer service seemed quite decent... Until I was never called back like they said I would be. Over and over again. Until there were delays with the courier. Until the engine apparently leaked oil at the depot. Until they apparently sent someone to sort it and it'd arrive with me the next day. Until I didn't hear from them for a week. Until I was told the engine was damaged and they'd send me out a new one that was reserved for someone else, because 'I ordered first'. I wanted their guarantee it'd arrive this week and they gave me that. Until the 2nd engine didn't show up at all. I just don't see the point of wasting both of our time. Did they not have the engine and were trying to secure one while I waited? God knows.

AVOID!! Worst possible example of a company - purchased an engine for £1900.00 couldnt have had a worse experience. Firstly the engine was far from as described and simply did not work, we have since tried to retify the issue in a professional manner as was fobbed off around the team all the time and waiting on a ''warranty claim''. Now had no other choice to take the matters more seriousy and opening a small claims court order. AVOID!!

Ordered engine 19th august adam told that engine will arrive wednesday or thursday . Then make call on friday they told engine 100% will arrive by tuesday and today i spoke with them they told that that engine need checking because of some oil leak . Actualy i dont understand how in bare engine with no parts can be some oil leak . All time on the phone in maybe 7 calls they told they will chase of progress about delivery and will call back , they never call back . Dont recomend this company to nobody and avoid it its waist of time …

Engine took 16 working days to turn up, mechanic has tryed to fit the engine and they have sent the year before engine so does not fit the car, engine number has been scrapped off the new engine so we are unable to sell on to get some money back. We had to pay an extra £800 to the car garage due to being told on serveral occation the engine would be delivered and it wasnt and they had brought staff in to fit the engine that had to then be sent home. was told by Adam that he would speak to his boss about getting us some money back due to the amount of time we waited for the engine to arrive .. still not heard back from Adam bought engine 6th April didnt arrive untill 26th.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! LIARS, SCAMMERS!! Sold us an engine for £1450 told us it would be with us in 2 / 3 days. 10 days later still no engine! Told by them it’s with 2 different couriers - rang both couriers and the parcel wasn’t with either! One of the couriers even said “oh them again, they do this to lots of people, lie saying it’s with the courier and it’s not”. PayPal dispute handling it for me now to get us a refund. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME, AVOID!!!

Absolute scam artists!!!! Avoid at all costs!! Brought a second hand engine off them for £1,400, 2 weeks later I still have no engine. I phoned them up and they tell me they didn't notice I'd paid so they'd send it. It arrived, not as advertised - it was the wrong engine. I phone the company and after multiple times of getting the phone put down, they accept to have the engine back. Their courier picked it up, for the next 3-4 weeks, they persisted in telling me they haven't had the engine back (despite it being their own courier who collected it). We are now nearly 12 months down the line and I still have no refund, despite them promising to sort this for the last 6 months. They don't answer the phone, and when they do they ask you to hold and then hang up on you. They keep saying - my boss will sort out the refund, should be with you by Friday - ALL LIES!!!!!!!! They still owe me £1,400 - do not use this company

Dealt with Sam, as per a previous review non responsive and dont care once they have your money, engine developed an oil leak after 2 weeks e mailed and called no response, asked to change the warranty during the work no response..........Even left the intercooler with 3 litres of oil in it and claimed the turbo had an issue and was smoking- response- not our responsibility, how do you hand a car back like that?

We received a Ford Transit diesel engine from them, supposedly with only 47K miles. The engine worked when we got it. However, shortly after installing it, all kinds of problems started. A leaking injector seal at first and another problem later, which eventually meant we had to rebuild the engine. Which makes one doubt the promised 47K miles. As the engine was only tested, not rebuilt, when we got it, we can't really give Engine Components the full blame. However, the customer service afterwards was terrible, with no answers to calls, often no reaction to emails, long waits and a promised partial refund which never came. I would not recommend this company to anyone and we have learned not to buy used engines that are only tested. And don't go for a 90 days warranty, it is useless.

Due to covid and the nature of the engine required, the whole process took a lot longer than originally anticipated. However, the engine arrived and works like a dream. The collection and delivery service ran harmoniously, and the guys at EoD were informative and very helpful for the whole transaction. Hopefully don’t need to use again, but if I do then I would without hesitation!

Bought an engine 2 weeks ago.. was told it would be delivered by last tuesday at the latest... it wasnt and worst part they DONT communicate. after chasing them up on wednesday Adam whoever that is tells me definitely i will get it by friday and he likes using 100 percent.. i waited till friday and guess what... it didnt come and once again NO communication. Called them friday 5pm Adam tells me sorry its now coming on Monday definitely 100 percent he will make sure himself that it comes on monday... i even offered to pick it up myself told it left Manchester and went to Heathrow mean while i leave in Glasgow bottom line you cannot pick it up yourself. Waited for monday which was yesterday... guess what.. no show.. and once again NO communication.. called Adam several times not wanting an update on delivery but a refund instead he says pass on details will give them to accounts and advice you when they will do it. I just passed on details this afternoon VERY VERY DISAPOINTED and God knows when my £650 will come if ever it will. My mechanic had warned me about them but thot he was crazy. Please dont use them if you dont have health insuarence.

Waited more than 10 days for an engine I had paid for to be told it was now broken then waited over a week for my money back. Wouldn't recommend to somebody I don't even like. As regarding your reply, Tell the truth you informed me 10 days later after I called you to see where the engine was that is when you informed me about the problem. Also tell future potential customers how you blocked my number so I had to 141 you to speak to you. Just as your reply to my review is lies as was your customer customer service constantly telling lies instead of just owning the situation and making amends.

I purchased an engine and I was told that the full amount would be payable once the engine was ready for dispatch , I then payed the full amount on the company request to then have to wait 3 weeks for the engine . The engine they sent was the wrong engine, engine components then arranged for a courier to collect the wrongly supplied engine 6 weeks then passed and still no engine had been delivered to me, during this time engine components were very difficult to deal with they didn’t return any calls and they don’t seem to respond to emails . Once the engine had arrive and the garage that fitted the engine were happy it was ok i rang engine components to arrange picking up my old engine which engine components didn’t do , a further two weeks passed and I range then again they finally picked the engine up , and I’m still waiting for my £300 deposit to be refunded I’m also £1300 out of pocket due to engine components dragging there feet.

Shambolic, a nightmare ongoing. I paid for an engine on 4th September, the wrong engine arrived, another was promised, didn't arrive and I requested a refund. It is 3rd November now, no refund and I am out £3k. Do not deal with this bunch, promise the earth and deliver nothing, cowboys, dishonest. I will post a comment every day here until they refund me. Adam offered to send photographs of a replacement engine, how incompetent is that? It could be any old lump of iron and made my mechanic properly belly laugh. Totally incompetent a refund was requested and came through after threat of legal action 10 weeks after payment. Significant cost has been incurred in hiring a car, storing my car and a mechanic trying to fit an engine the was of the same spec but auto rather that manual - it didn't work. I went against my better judgement as I was desperate for me car to be repaired and was burned. No website, and no safe payment method. Please do not make my mistakes, use a credit card to buy and enjoy the insurance that provides. 10 months of rubbish and i still do not have my car on the road.

Would recommend these guys and would use again but just beware that they can be slow on refunds and delivery but if you contact them they will respond and update you however you do have to be the one to ask for updates they don’t do it of their own back. I got no shipping info i.e tracking info etc and my partial refund took a week to get. But all in all they are good and fair is fair sometimes you get problems but they did eventually get there and im happy.

Picked up an engine for my ST focus 30000 miles less and 2 years younger than my car, delivered when the garage were ready to swap engine who couldnt fault the block, made sure my old engine went back to them to avoid charge so make sure you do this, the good price i got on my new engine was worth it, car feels like new, i would recommend an engine from here, 3 months warranty too gave me confidence to buy

This is very bad company I had agreed with them about Ford EcoBoost engine 1.6 petrol He told me you have to pay deposit £100 to make the engine ready for you, I did make the payment and we agreed to collect the engine on Friday 8/11/2019 After That he give me call and said the engine not ready for Friday , come and collect it Monday, on Sunday he send me message saying the engine not ready for Monday can you come Tuesday I did reply to his message please cancel it and send me my money back he didn’t reply to me message I called the company phone number but they didn’t answer My call I don’t recommend this company to anyone

PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY - THEY ARE CONMEN This company deserves zero stars. We were supplied a faulty engine and were not reimbursed. The company never respond to emails, & the manager or staff never return calls! When we eventually got through to them on the phone, they agreed a refund & said their faulty engine would be collected and a refund given. I then called to see what was happening as no one had collected and was told they will not offer a refund only a replacement even though they had already agreed to this the week before. Everytime you call the main office number and ask to speak to someone you have spoken to before they are never there, there seems to be 100 people working in their office with different, probably made up names. I have now started legal proceedings. I was hesitant before I placed my order after having read reviews, I wish I had listen to my instincts and to previous customers reviews. PLEASE DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE.

Bought engine for £1325 and engine was late and damaged upon arrival. It took ages to pick up engine and take back before another replacement found and delivered. For all it has taken nearly 7 weeks until my car is back. Replacement engine is really quiet and smooth. Dont envy Adam's job but he came through with a good engine. Thanks

About this time last year, my Citroën Relay engine packed in. I was finding it very hard to source one in Ireland, so I chanced importing one from UK. Thankfully through Adam , prepared me a re conditioned engine and had it sent to me. The van has been flying since. So thanks to Adam for keeping me informed through the whole process and making it a smooth transaction, especially because of the distance, I was a bit hesitant, but Adam done a very professional job and thankfully everything worked out and had my van back on the road within a few weeks. Very disappointed, Engine Components were supplying an engine,they had promised on more than 5 occasions to deliver the engine to us, and delayed for about 3 weeks, when the engine finally turned up, it was the wrong engine code. Once the engine had been delivered the company refused to engage in any form of dialogue. At a significant cost to ourselves we had to have it delivered back to ECLtd We contacted ECLtd and got no joy, fortunately we had paid via paypal and after a lot of discussion we got a refund from paypal directly. WOULD NOT USE AGAIN !

Poor and very costly experience. The engine took 9 days to arrive after payment. The engine lasted only 800 miles in the car before the camshaft broke. Engine components Ltd were hard to get hold of and didn't return calls until the case was escalated to paypal. Eventually refunded the cost of the engine through Paypal. Take care purchasing from them and don't go there without protection of Paypal.
